Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Kassh Movers. By booking our services or using our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Services We Provide

Kassh Movers provides moving labour services only. Our team assists with loading, unloading, packing, unpacking, furniture placement, and other labour-related moving tasks.

We do not provide:

  • Moving trucks or transportation vehicles
  • Drivers or driving services
  • Truck rentals
  • Moving equipment, including but not limited to dollies, hand trucks, moving blankets, straps, ramps, or lifting equipment
  • Storage services

Customers are responsible for arranging all transportation and ensuring that any rented truck or moving vehicle is available and ready upon our arrival.

2. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide a safe and accessible work environment.
  • Ensure that all items are properly packed before loading unless packing services have been specifically requested.
  • Arrange for a suitable moving truck or transportation vehicle.
  • Ensure the vehicle is legally parked and ready to load or unload at the scheduled appointment time.
  • Inform us in advance of any unusually heavy, oversized, fragile, or specialty items.

3. No Transportation Services

Our employees are not authorized to drive customer-owned vehicles or rental trucks.

Under no circumstances will our team:

  • Drive a customer's vehicle.
  • Drive a rental moving truck.
  • Transport belongings between locations.
  • Operate any commercial vehicle on behalf of the customer.

Our responsibility begins and ends with the labour services requested.

4. Equipment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, customers are responsible for providing any moving equipment required for the move, including but not limited to:

  • Dollies
  • Hand trucks
  • Furniture pads or blankets
  • Straps
  • Tie-downs
  • Moving boxes
  • Packing materials

If equipment is unavailable, our ability to safely complete the move may be limited.

5. Heavy or Specialty Items

Items such as pianos, safes, pool tables, hot tubs, commercial equipment, gun safes, appliances, or other unusually heavy or oversized items must be disclosed before booking.

Additional charges may apply, and we reserve the right to decline moving any item that poses a safety risk.

6. Property Damage and Liability

While we take reasonable care when handling your belongings, moving always carries inherent risks.

Kassh Movers is not responsible for:

  • Damage caused by improperly packed items.
  • Damage resulting from defective or weak furniture.
  • Damage caused by customer-supplied equipment or vehicles.
  • Damage resulting from unsafe conditions at the property.
  • Damage to items that were already damaged before the move.
  • Mechanical issues, breakdowns, or accidents involving customer-provided or rented trucks.

Customers should inspect all items before and after the service.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for any claim arising out of our services shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific booking.

We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, business interruption, or emotional distress.

8. Delays

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Traffic
  • Weather
  • Elevator delays
  • Building restrictions
  • Customer delays
  • Vehicle issues
  • Road closures

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Customers should notify us as soon as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule.

Cancellation fees may apply if notice is not provided within the required time frame.

10. Refusal of Service

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if:

  • Working conditions are unsafe.
  • Customers behave abusively or threaten our staff.
  • Required information about the move was withheld.
  • The work requested exceeds what was agreed upon.

11. Health and Safety

Our movers may decline lifting items they reasonably believe could result in injury or property damage.

Customer cooperation is required to maintain a safe working environment.

12. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Failure to pay may result in additional collection costs or legal action where permitted by law.

13. Website Information

While we strive to keep all information on our website accurate, we do not guarantee that all descriptions, pricing, or availability are free from errors.

We reserve the right to update or modify our services without prior notice.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
